Felix de Quesada, born in La Habana, Cuba and grew up in Camaguey, where he spent some of the time in the city and part of the time in the countryside among the cattle growers. In 1950, he entered to study Law. In 1952, while a law student at the University of La Habana, he opposed the military coup that overthrew the constitutional government in Cuba.

In 1957, he married Margarita Parraga, a fellow Law School graduate, and they went into exile to Houston, Texas, where he studied Economics at the University of Houston.

In 1959 when the Baptista Dictatorship fell, he returned to Cuba with his wife to practice law and wrote several political articles for Adelante....

Explore the process of creating works of art together as a team. 

You don't need to have had painting experiences to join us on this journey.

Just come to play and have fun.

The one-day painting retreat starts with all participants coming together to share their heart-felt discussions on how to live a creative life and have fun.

A new concept is introduced by Rassouli at every session. Then following his direct guidance, everyone will begin to paint, exploring their feelings free from judgement.

Lunch will be served in restaurant's style and then, everyone will continue to develop their paintings until about 4:00 p.m.

At that time, all participants  gather together to review and discuss their artworks until 6:oo pm.

"What Is Ridiculous"

Descendants of darkness, heirs to the Light
Why all this ridiculous clowning
Do you believe it amuses God
Who would laugh at such raw suffering
Who would not weep at such rare joy
So small
When all creation desires to be free
Squadrons of angels are taking off
Storming through clouds that obscure the moon
In their midnight mission
To protect our freedom
The drones are on target
And here we are
Safe from the searing pain
Yet unhealed
In a world where wisdom is ridiculous
To be truly ridiculous is to be wise
In a world full of emptiness
True emptiness is fullness
Cry, cry for these blind people
Who cannot hear when the wind chimes
Who shall answer them
Angel hymns they do not heed
Monstrous shadows stalk them
Still, in their hour of extremity
Is that most delicate tweaking
A turn to the fertile mystery of the heart
Beating in bewilderment
As innocence revives
The chimes grow louder
And healing begins
