Achin writes: "... to me, this beauty is "The Monarch of Love," and it is difficult to think of her as anything else. I have kept her beside me all week, under the light, so I see her when I go to sleep, and when I awaken. Of course, I can call her anything I like, no matter what you actually name her....and I do. I like all her names, that is the beauty of this one...she is like a Fusionart goddess....absorbing the vision of all who see her. She is a reigning monarch...the feminine beauty and grace...the collective vision of all of us....something new and fresh."

Responses to Rassouli's Paintings

The first thought I had was "The Phoenix" because she reminds me of the mythical bird rising from the ashes. Joanne

Wow, another amazing painting!!! I thought that the last one was my very favorite of all the ones I have seen, but now I am not sure!! The Being in this painting is so animated and alive. It makes me wonder what she will transform into in the next moment. I see her as a nature spirit, blissfully manifesting her soul's desires. I would call the painting "Galactic Diva" Jocelyne

Here are some titles I am inspired with: Warrioress of Light - Echoes of Creation - Harbinger of the Dawn. Lawrence

As I look at your wonderful new work, (sans any thought!) I see what appears to be an American Indian Female Spirit "Reining in the Elements". Denise

I like the colors and power of this painting much more than the last one. You definitely have regular expression of female energy as a focus. I feel the feminine energies truly need to be expressed and come to the forefront of power at this time as the male dominated power structure has gotten us into more trouble than is healthy. The planet needs a more feminine nurturing sensibility. This is not to say that men are not capable of this, just that I feel the pendulum has swung far enough out of balance. So here are my two titles I offer this time: From Whence Springs the Fire of Life or Emergence from the Portal of Transformation. Richard

A few names come to mind: The Spirit of the Universe - Rainbow Magic - Cosmos - Spirit Guide. Dwight

This new painting is so beautiful. I would like it to cover one entire wall in my place where I could see it every day. Wondrous wings of color , banners and cloth from every land. O, I feel like this inside... like love is creating me...radiant glory of the inclusiveness of love. Naomi

"Divine Feminine" or "Powerfully Divine" or "Divine Power In Motion". To me it is all about standing in her power as the role model for the Divine Feminine Power. Pamela

What about something like Opening the Gate or Rebirth of the Elders or Coming of Age. I see her as new, maybe young, coming of age filled with vitality, reawaking the voice and vitality of those before her. She is protecting, and yet, rebirthing the lifeblood of the existence (elders, traditions) of those before. She is amazingly strong, the gatekeeper, the protector, but the open door.

I spent some time studying this, and I felt so much energy. Wonderful piece! I so wish I lived closer so I could get to one of your workshops. I am an emerging artist, yet I just haven't completely broke free to the truth side of me yet. I have so much to say in my art, yet I haven't said enough. Its coming though, and you are an inspiration to so many artists that seek to speak the truth! your art just speaks and moves and opens all that is closed or sleeping. Elizabeth

It feels to me that this is about the Divine Orchestration Into the Light, and that's the name I pick. For short I also like Divine Orchestration. Tanaz

It is amazing how easy it is to sink into the paintings and allow both sides of the brain to process all that is! thank you for the goodness you provide. At first I thought the painting reflected a lot of openness and embracing change and the courage to do so with the deep colours including the red....with "her" outstretched arms. Two days later I realize to me it feels like something different...it feels like one's coming into oneself...."Coming into One's Self" or...."Into One's Self" in a stepping kind of fashion. Maybe "Stepping into One's Self".....?
The intense deep colours reflecting courageously claiming one's own energy; one's own stepping into power...the circular energy which swirls around and recaptures her being inward and the downcast eyes suggesting one going within, the wide sweeping base of beautiful energies and colour draping wide at the base claim the groundedness of doing so. Kind of like the circular life journey when you go back to simply claiming the magnificence of who you really are......"Into One's Self" or taking that step into one's self. Tasha

My title are Swirling Portal and Coming Forth. I don't think it does it justice but that's what came to me. Elizabeth

All I can say is, "Wow!" It literally sucked my breath away. The color and the shimmering is exquisite and thrilling. The Light is remarkable. It is generated from within and spreads outward to the viewer and then to the universe. You can almost hear music coming from this piece. I would call it one of these names: Rainbow Symphony of Creation, Rainbow Symphony, Rainbow, Creation or Listen. It is like the Divine Feminine gifting her radiant living color to the Universe. The Sound of Color. Symphony of Color. Audrey

She finds you in the pit of pain and tells you of love that heals all pain. She meets you in the cave of darkness and shows you the bridge to the light. She is the Eden in the desert of your constricted heart. She embraces the spirits of those who are bruised, broken, shattered, devastated, shamed and damned and offers transcendence. She soars with the energy of a Phoenix into and out of turbulent storms. She offers tenacious hope where there is only despair. She whispers "Fear Not," "Do Not be Afraid." to those who are frozen. She accepts with a love filled heart those that are rejected and abandoned. She is "Radiance of the Dark". Carole

The connotation of the space is in its vastness and boundariness, which relates to the unlimited creative power. It conveys to me the feminine qualities of creativity and patience, which have both been the elements weaved into creating this "Tapestry of Creation". Gitty

I love your latest piece, reminiscent of the power of the dance of life when we are fully present.
In me, the piece evokes the beauty of transformation. We begin as in the bottom left, in a place of semi darkness, viewing the sacred spiral of life from a distance, with awe for a sacred other. By the grace of the compassionate dancer, we are drawn through the very fabric of her garment to enter into an ascension into the dance itself. We spiral towards the light, remembering that the sacred dwells within ourselves as well, and that there is no separation in this glorious dance of Light and Love. ( I love the slight tilt of her head and expression of her face ~ beautiful!) I would title this piece Spiral Dance Transforms. Reinforcing the active and ongoing nature of creation, that draws us to become the dancers and the full participants that we are. Shalahnia

Here is my statement of what I see in this painting: 'Gentle, yet masterful guidance' Vaughn

Title: Invocation . She is gracefully beautiful, inwardly powerful. I see her invoking magic to serve the greater good, providing a link between earth and the other realms. She has the ability to call forth the magic of all realms, providing a safe container and guiding the process that is being asking to occur. Tracy

"Creation of the World" Diane

In your painting, the beauty of love gives rise to this vision of the butterfly emerging from the cocoon of separateness and she responds by laying herself out to be seen and experienced as love sees her.. ...when the eyes of the heart of the beloved gaze at the beloved. She is born again, into beauty, into life. The Glance. Ohhh, another title just came to me, The Gaze of the Beloved. Naomi

"Earth Blessing" is what comes to mind. Just breathtaking! Vicki

I instantly thought of Haiti and the crossing over of so many. Rising above the turmoil, Perhaps Rising Above. It is so soft flowing and has been very comforting to me as I have lost my mother and mother in law within a bit more than a year. I thank you for your insight and your sharing. Cas

What I really love about this are two things. One: I love reading all the other responses—I love the similarities and the differences in responses, and my experience is deepened by reading others’ comments about the art (this is a huge gift to me). Two: Your first-look club art has become part of my own meditations just like my labyrinth is and just like my mudras and mantras are. I follow the images into my own being. So, thank you for this amazing gift. I want to hold this week’s image in my mind all week and remember/feel what I have learned from it. Your paintings are a mirror for me. What I see is what I am (which, of course, is true for everyone), and I am always able to discover/recover more of who I am through looking at your art. In this week’s painting I see I am “A Star of the Cosmos.” In the painting the woman wears the cloak of the Cosmos, or the robes of the Cosmos, and she IS the Cosmos, just as I am. So I call this one “Star of the Cosmos.” I still find it very difficult to put the meditation experience of your paintings into words, but it is a wonderful practice to try. Thank you for showing me this week that I am a star in the Cosmos and that I AM the Cosmos. Diana

Mother of the Firmament, Gen. 1:3 God is in Everything I see.Phyllis

Last week I was sitting by the window and watching the rain drops on the pond. when the rain stopped a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. The colors were so vivid and the rainbow was so close, I could feel its presence. I was filled with awe. When I saw this painting I had a similar feeling. She looks like a Native American girl dancing in nature and I'd like to call it " Rainbow Dancer". Vida

Many beautiful things happen when I look into this painting, magical, illumination, mosaic, stain glass, constellations run through my mind. The feminine figure though, brings about
my best idea I think. I would call this "Angel of Auriga" ~~~ [Auriga is the January constellation.] Gretchen

Woke up this morning with: Birthing of Colour, Her Majesty of Colour, Majesty, Majesty of Colour, Rainbow Majesty, Colour of the Breath of LIfe, Sacred Palette, Her Majesty. Audrey

By looking at it, I feel so Strong , I feel like I can do anything, The power I feel is so intense that I feel it deeply in my heart , It makes it go faster and I can hear the pounding of my heart! .....And then it gives me a sense of Ecstasy. I want to fly. This is a painting which nourishes the soul Immensely. It is vibrant, passionate & alive : I have 2 titles that Cry out to me loud and Clear: Eternal Bliss - Inner Ecstasy Nikki

And she was born, just like the sun, pulling flower blossoms through air... Josie

Upon first seeing it and without engaging my mind, the word, 'Master' immediately appeared. as I sat in contemplation with your masterpiece I was so connected with the power of the feminine within the cosmos. I see her as the center from which all life flows. I see the heavens in their majestic beauty as if just at the whim of inner joy's expression she opens her arms to to create life and then to embrace it with her love. she holds it all and like the creator, is in awe of the love she has created. I would call it 'Mastress'. whatever name is given, I know that my heart is alight with its flame! Thank you for this gift. it ignites the core of my heart with its power. what a blessing! Kati

How beautiful is that painting. "Whirlwind Goddess" came to mind, interesting as that is what energy is circulating at present! And we mentioned wind in our first Utopia Radio Show! Thank you for forwarding as we can feel the resonance! Isis

Title for your new painting: New Integration. What I feel with it is the new integration of the universes. This integration was given to unity with species, mankind only heard of through dreams of fear. Now will be seen and known that fear was never needed, as we have been and always will be one. Wilhelmina

Another WOW, here was my first impression.... Dancing the Free Spirit, Heart Dancing of the Universe, Power Dancing, Conducting the Dance of Intention. For me there is so much flow, intention of a dance, an inner dance with such force of the creative self, gathering, pulling up all the experiences and expressing it from the power of heart in knowing who you are and the connection we are to everything. She is the Conductor. She is the Power Dancer. She is the True Heart of all of us to be awakened. Star

Suggested titles: Heart's True Radiance or A Radiant Heart or Heart of the Wayshower. When a heart finally understands that it is not here alone on a personal journey, but is the One Heart here to love absolutely everyone, a radiant glow emerges. It becomes every color and hue of light as joy erupts from this union with the Divine. The portal of Light opened by this connection flows through us into the lives of all we meet. We open... and give our hearts away... Becoming The true radiance of All That Is. Cynthia

"The Creative Spirit" - "The Fabric of Creation" Roy

My husband says; It's a true Angel of Love, connecting. My first impression was: she's a native American, so my heart sings: Great Mother Spirit, dancing between the worlds. Joocke

I really love the "negative space" of your work. I tend to block out the main figure and focus on the background. It is filled with colors and figures and the viewer gets lost in the story....who are these figures, what are they doing, where are they??? Wonderful experience and I only wish I could see the original work. I call it...."Perpetual Dawn" Mark

Fire Tapestry Awakening!!! Terry

This one really touches my heart. I am thinking of the biblical person who had the coat of many colors...I am thinking of her heart wrenching and her soul bleeding...because it stores the knowledge of the seen. I am thinking of betrayal and how it takes many forms. I am thinking of people that I am close to that I thought were truly my friends....who have shown me their true colors...this one is sad. I feel her pain....this one...she hurts from very deep inside like most people cannot understand. I will look at her some more and see what else that I see and if I can find a title in my mind's eye. Tara

I would name it Looking at the World in Color . Susan

When I view this work I get the feeling of being cared for and loved as I have arrived to the presence of this angelic being...sort of a gathering of souls searching for oneness as they have heard the beginning of what will now be. We are there to be with her and be part of her...just breathtaking... as are all your works. Here are a few titles and words that come to mind and heart: In the Beginning , Lightbearer's Arrival , On Angels' Wings, Guardian of Source, Just Believe , Celestial Mother , Divine Guardian, On the Wings of the Beloved, Vision of Peace, Oneness Realized. I look forward to seeing more of your works and participating heartstorming. This painting is very inspiring...I could go on forever! Lily

I feel this painting should be named, Peace and Harmony for Forever. Dorothy

Eternal Flow (Oil on Canvas, 30" X 40") Artist: Rassouli

I thought to share with you a comment from Diana Christine, which summerizes many of your heart-felt comments:

Oh, how wonderfully beautiful! After looking once again upon your painting and reading all the comments, reading the poems, watching the video…I feel a bit as though I have been inside sanctuary with all the other people who share the painting.

I love that you have created our gathering and coming together."

Dear First-Look Club members,

The present conditions that have been affecting our world peace and global economy seem chaotic on the surface, but deep inside the chaos, they are offering a tremendously rich invitation to those who are creative, providing the best opportunity to bring out new ideas, much like plants in the winter strengthening their roots to spread out in the spring time. When a reporter asked Picasso in the early twentieth century how he foresees the future, he answered, "I don't foresee things, I make them happen." That was creative power speaking through the young Picasso.

The creative power of today's world can no longer be left in the hands of individuals. We live in a world when exciting things are beginning to happen through the union of creative hearts, which is the underlying theme and basis for our Fusionart movement.

When in 1984, I began developing the concept of Fusionart, I was merely thinking about the ways to bring Eastern ideology together with Western technology by sharing the great variation of our works of art. Since then, Fusionart has become an even more expansive movement to develop connections that will explore the creative tension that exists between all opposing energies, and hopefully, will act as a catalyst toward the union of opposites. Those who become involved with this movement by sharing their own unique and creative expression will become a part of developing a vision to help make this happen as Fusionartists.

From the time that I began teaching Fusionart at the Spiritual Center of Agape in Los Angeles, hundreds of professional artists of all media, as well as many of those who were not aware of the unique creative power that exists within them, have joined this movement and are attending our creativity retreats and classes, and others, who do not have direct access to our programs, are participating from distant places around the world by communicating through our web sites.

The reason I am writing to you today is to announce this new direction that the Fusionart movement is taking toward fusing the hearts of people from all corners of the world to participate in a heart-storming opportunity. This will allow everyone involved to develop their creative potential in ways suited to their own unique expression. Please be assured this is not an idea to develop a new business for my own purposes, for thank God, the sale of my artworks and reproductions are sufficient for my economic needs. This is the evolution of a dream becoming real by bringing us together through new and exciting ways of bridging what separates us through the shared expression of hearts.

The way this creative heart-storming will work is that I will begin by posting the concepts of the union of hearts as introduced by the great Eastern mystics, and I will invite you to reflect on them through your own creative methods, whether it is poetry and prose, painting and sculpture, music and songs, photography and videos, or through any other means of expression you would like to share. Your responses will be reflected on a new Fusionart International web site for all to experience. This process will be the catalyst for the development of a creative community to fuse with one another through artistic expression. When we do this, not for personal gain, but to develop a communal longing to promote social, psychological and economic fellowship, which the mystics call, "friends of the heart", we find the source of all creative power.

Should you be attracted to participate in this movement, please let me know by sending a return email, and I will send you the guidelines for the first opportunity to move us toward creative union. Even if you are not interested yourself, I am sure you know friends and relatives, who might be interested in benefiting from a program such as this. If you do, please feel free to forward this email to them, and you will be a part of our new beginnings by doing so. Thank you!

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Love & Light,

Rassouli, Fusionartist

In your light, I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one else sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.
